WeLab - DevOps Engineer

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for WeLend
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Manage our continuous deployment pipeline
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Write and maintain automation scripts to increase repeatability and decrease time required to keep our system running
  

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines
• 6+ years’ experience in development / IT teams with minimum 3+ years’ experience in high performing DevOps teams focusing on scripting, automating, configuring and troubleshooting B2C and B2B cloud and hybrid-based environments.
• Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks and development and production environments (e.g.Tomcat, Apache, Ruby, MySql, Postgres, NGINX)
• Cloud experience, preferably in AWS, Heroku and GCP
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box, Docker)
• Experience with monitoring systems and automation software (e.g., Kubernetes, Rancher)
• Experience with other DevOps, configuration management and application performance tools (e.g. GitHub, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Bugsnag, Selenium, CircleCI, New Relic)
• Working knowledge of IAC (Infrastructure as Code)
• Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP and other application protocols)
• Attention to detail and think-outside-the-box mentality
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good command of English
