Who we're looking for

Digital Butter was founded with a digital-first mentality, and deep technical expertise continues to be at the heart of our agency DNA.

Our projects range from elegant interfaces to expertly executed user experiences, across websites, e-commerce stores, web apps, and more recently, native applications (on React Native).

We’re always looking to keep our skills sharp, and our development team works hard to keep up with best practices across the front-end and back-end frameworks that we work with.

What you will be doing in this role:

Our development projects span best in class Content Management Systems (CMS), customised E-Commerce platforms, complex web applications, and digital campaigns. We work with PHP frameworks - most commonly CraftCMS, Craft Commerce & Laravel.
We’re regularly working with APIs to push and pull data from sources ranging from Inventory Management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM), financial data feeds, and so much more. Our back-end development work is as much about technical architecture planning and clear multi-party communication, as it is about the accuracy of the code, and robust testing.
Without exception, project technical requirements are scoped out and budgeted against, and we are deliberate in never committing to work we are not confident we can deliver.
We’re currently building up our expertise in React Native to deliver native apps on iOS and Android, and so building headless solutions, and feeding content and logic via API to a chosen front-end is already at the heart of much of our work (particularly with startups).

Salary will be determined by previous experience.
18 days annual leave per year.
