HKBN - Senior Programmer/Analyst Programmer - API Specialist (1-year contract)

The Opportunity

• Be part of the API team to support the transformation and innovation of HKBN inhouse and external projects
• Act as an API Specialist to work on a range of extremely important and interesting projects, solving complex business problems using the best tools available

Responsibilities

• Work closely with business division and IT teams to design and develop API for solution integration and transformation
• Develop highly reusable API with Product Mindset and Microservices Architecture
• Replacing legacy system module with latest technology stack
• Adopting API Lifecycle Management and Cloud Technologies
• Effective negotiating, time-management, communication skills and problem-solving skills
• Self-Confident, ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload
  

Remarks: The role will start with 1-year renewable contract

• Degree or Higher Diploma Holder in IT or related fields
• 3 years’ experience in some of the programming languages and technologies, such as Java, PL/SQL, database development, Shell Scripts, WebLogic
• Demonstrated experiences in developing API and application with some of the followings:

1. API Management Solution (MuleSoft, Apigee, CA, Kony, OpenFaas or similar solution)
2. Serverless Functions (OpenFaas, Azure Function, Aws Lamada, Google Functions)
3. API Documentation (Swagger, RAML)
4. API Standards, Microservices architecture
5. Using 3rd party API (Microsoft, AWS, Google, Facebook, WeChat, WhatsApp, Twilio, etc.)
6. Dockers / Kubernetes
7. Cloud Environment (Azure, AWS, GCP, Heroku)
8. SDLC, DevSecOps, Automation Testing, Test-Driven Development

• Keen in studying new technologies and solutions
• Certificate of MuleSoft would be a big advantage.
• Experienced in Agile & Scrum (PSM) would be an advantage
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Analyst Programmer
